Maintaining your winegrowing equipment

We pay particular attention to our choice of materials and components, so that we manufacture equipment that will last.

Here are some tips on how to maintain your machines to ensure their longevity.

During each use, check the condition of the hoses and electrical sheaths for cracks and tears. Also check that all bolts and hydraulic fittings are secure.

Every 20 hours of use, grease all bearings that have a grease fitting and all moving parts that require lubrication, to prevent premature wear and tear.

Before each cultivation season, grease the machine’s various slide rails to avoid premature wear of the chassis.

When the wearing parts wear out (blades, rotary tool notches, teeth, discs, lump breaker discs, ploughshares, knives, etc.), they must be replaced by new ones (manufacturer’s own). To replace these parts, it is usually as simple as unscrewing the old parts, removing them and replacing them with a new one.
Note: the teeth on the cotes de melon are reversible; most of the wearing parts are fixed in place with blue threadlocker to prevent them from loosening during use.

Every 200 hours of use (or every year), check the cleanliness of your tractor’s hydraulic oil, and if necessary, change the filter cartridge to maintain a clean hydraulic circuit, and avoid polluting the distributor. If the oil in the tractor (or in the hydraulic power pack) is too dirty, we recommend changing it and replacing it with an oil that is suitable for the tractor’s main use. Also check the tractor’s hydraulic oil level when the machine has been running and is still coupled to the tractor. If the hydraulic oil level in the tractor (or power pack) is allows to get too low, the machine may malfunction.

Note: Only the manufacturer’s original wearing parts are covered by the warranty. For optimal performance and maximum machine life, we recommend using Hydrolub HV68 oil.
