Function: TERRAL Trimmers are machines designed for the mechanical pruning of vines. They are only suitable for 3 types of cutting procedures: precision mechanical pruning, Royat cord pruning and goblet pruning. These machines save a considerable amount of time, thereby reducing the vine pruning period. The purpose of this work is to concentrate the pruning process over a short period of time.

Use: The pruning machine is used during the pruning period (December to March). It is recommended for use on hardened wood in which the sap has already descended (or is in the process of descending). This will ensure that the trimmer cuts cleanly for precise pruning. The length of the wood you are cutting has no affect on the machine’s performance

How it works: The speed of rotation, combined with sharp saws, make it possible to achieve a clean cut. Moreover, the four saws offer unparalleled precision as they cut. The machine’s multiple settings allow it to adapt to all types of vineyard (designed for mechanical pruning).

Hitch: The TERRAL pruner can only be mounted onto the front of the tractor, to combine pruning with the use of another tool at the rear, such as the TERRAL shredder, or a soil-working tool. It can also be combined with a hydraulic power pack if the tractor’s flow rate is insufficient. The pruning machine can be used to work on a complete row.

Feed rate: from 1 to 3 km/h depending on how stiff the vine shoots are and how flat the soil is between vine rows.
