Function:

TERRAL Trimmers are machines designed for the mechanical pruning of vines. They are only suitable for 3 types of cutting procedures: precision mechanical pruning, Royat cord pruning and goblet pruning. These machines save a considerable amount of time, thereby reducing the vine pruning period. The purpose of this work is to concentrate the pruning process over a short period of time.

Use :

The pruning machine is used during the pruning period (December to March) It is recommended for use on hardened wood in which the sap has already descended (or is in the process of descending). This will ensure that the trimmer cuts cleanly for precise pruning. The length of the wood you are cutting has no affect on the machine’s performance.

How it works :

The speed of rotation, combined with sharp saws, make it possible to achieve a clean cut. The inclined, staggered blades limit vibrations and create a ripple effect on the ground, essential to the roller’s smooth operation. What’s more, interchangeable anti-abrasion steel blades considerably extend tool life. The machine’s multiple settings allow it to adapt to all types of vineyard (designed for mechanical pruning).

Hitch :

TERRAL Chopper Rollers are fitted with standardized hitches. This means they can be attached to the front or rear of the tractor. It can be combined with a TERRAL trimmer frame (which can also be attached at the front and rear).
