Description
Grinder frame / Kress
Product overview
Function : TERRAL crumbler/Kress frames are frames, i.e. tool holders, specially designed to accommodate TERRAL crumbler discs and Kress tools. They are thus used for maintenance and mechanical weeding of the cavaillon. There are several ways to maintain this area: ploughing, stirring the soil, lifting the soil, mowing, etc. Maintaining this area so that it remains clear and free of weeds increases vine yield, since the weeds will not have to compete for resources from the soil. TERRAL’s crumbler/Kress frame quickly eliminates weeds under the row without the use of phytopharmaceutical products.
Use : The frame works in conjunction with Kress crushing discs and tools. It can be used all year round to keep the cavaillon clean. However, it will be in greater demand from March to September. It can be used on all types of soils, whether they are clay, limestone, sandy, or stony. However, using it on very hard soils is not recommended, as this could damage the machine and the vines.
The crumbler frame allows 2 half-rows to be worked at the same time.
How it works : The frame is a chassis: it can’t be used to perform any concrete action when coupled to the tractor alone. For a complete job, it needs to be equipped with Kress crushing discs and tools. In this case, the combination of these 2 tools enables the cavaillon to be finely shod. Firstly, the crumbling discs cut the soil to project it onto the cavaillon, and then the Kress tools re-compact and stir the soil as close as possible to the vines.
Hitch : The TERRAL Kress frame can be attached to the front or rear of the tractor. It can be combined with a TERRAL shredder or a tillage tool.
Feed rate : 6 to 10 km/h depending on soil hardness

Customer testimonials, feedback
The compactness of the TERRAL trimmer frame allows me to move forward at high speeds, while passing close to the stumps. Combined with Kress tools, TERRAL crumbling discs provide efficient cultivation of the cavaillon between 2 intercep passes. Thanks to the high forward speed and low power requirement, I save time and fuel.
